Eaten by Michelin Star Chef James Sommerin as a child, now with his own spin, this dish makes the perfect mid-week meal filled with protein and vitamins to keep you going until the weekend.
Grandma Som’s Chicken Dish
Preparation time 10 minutes
Cooking time 30 minutes
Serves 4
Ingredients
•4 chicken breasts, diced
•1 jar of asparagus
•2 tins of condensed chicken soup
•8-10 mushrooms, sliced
•Mild curry powder, to taste
•A small amount of oil
Method
Step 1:
In a pan, place the oil and chicken over medium heat.
Step 2:
Cook chicken until cooked through and not pink.
Step 3:
Add the soup and refill the tin with water and add.
Step 4:
Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 5:
Add the curry powder and continue to cook for 15-20 minutes.
Step 6:
Chop the asparagus and add. Cook for a further 5 minutes and serve.
Step 7:
This dish is great served with rice or chips.
Chef's Tips
Add cloves or seeds for the perfect base to your dish. Fresh spices are the best choice and will keep for longer in the freezer.
